I have written a fantasy short story for the first time and it’s now published on Coffee House Writers website.
I have to admit, it was a lot of fun. I grew up reading classic fantasies and sci-fi books and have a very soft spot in my heart for them.
Cambri stood up and stretched her thin skeletal arms towards the cave’s ceiling. She could not remember her last meal. Bark tea had been her only food and drink for days now, ever since she escaped the enclosure.
The lighter skies displayed shades of amber and cyan; the suns would rise soon. The icy cold winds would turn to searing hot tornadoes before the suns met in mid-sky, transforming into fiery eyes that scorched the land until their descent pulled them apart. She must move quickly and follow the curve of Thyllman Ridge. It led out of the barren wastelands and back toward Emylis, the place where Cambri took her first breath.
