Remembrance Day 2024
Today is Remembrance Day in Canada. I am old enough to have been taught respect for my elders. To honour the soldiers who fought and those paid the ultimate price by laying down their lives for my generation and all the generations behind me now.
Today, I honour my great-uncles who fought in the trenches of the Great War (WWI), and my uncles who battled against the Nazis and freed the prisoners in the concentration camps at the end of WWII.
I am fortunate that my family returned home. There are fields of crosses in France and other countries marking epic battles won by allied forces. Canada made its mark and many paid the price with their lives. We and our allies prevailed and overcame the evil seeking to control the world.
I WILL NOT FORGET!
Your sacrifices were not in vain. I sense your displeasure at the evil run amok in this nation. Too many generations no longer know how to stand for what’s right and to fight for their freedoms. I am praying that people will wake up and fight for “the true north, strong, and free,” again.
Wars continue to rage, but the battle for our sovereignty is against a trojan horse brought in by our own government who cares nothing for Canadian history, Canadian lives, or Canadian culture.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE?
People willing to lose everything including their lives. This dystopian version of Canada is not the Canada I know and love. We are being held hostage by a minority government propped up by an opposition party equally as corrupt for eight years and counting.
They are criminals, guilty of treason in so many ways and yet, they remain in power while true Canadian patriots languish in jail cells for decades because they dared to speak, to stand, to call out the truth of the situation in this nation and demand change.
We are living in unprecedented times which calls for unprecedented courage. Courage like that of the men and women whose bones remain in Flanders fields. It calls for strong faith and fortitude.
