The Audiobook of Sister Lost is now on Audible!

I am so happy to announce that the audiobook version of Sister Lost is now available on Audible. It will be available on Apple Books, and iTunes within a few days. I will let you all know when that happens.
Creating this audiobook was a learning experience, and such an adventure. The first person I contacted was Henry Willard, Voice Over Editor. We had connected on LinkedIn a year earlier. Within a day or so we were listening to audio auditions for the book’s narrator and the voice of my main character, Claire Langstrom. Two rounds of auditions were held before Henry and I unanimously agreed that Rachel Gilbert was the perfect narrator for the project.
Then the real work began, but it was such a wonderful collaboration, it really didn’t feel like work. I learned a lot more about the process and enjoyed every moment of it. It took a bit longer than I had expected, but that was due to thirty characters that speak in the story. I was certain Rachel might run the other way, but she embraced the challenge and was very professional and open to my comments as the author. She brought my characters to life – I laughed and cried as I listened. It was such an amazing experience.
The next challenge was uploading to acx and discovering the audiobook cover I had purchased from a reputable company was the wrong size! A recent contact on Alignable kindly lent a hand and made the adjustments while incorporating the ISBN # (needed in Canada) and moving my author name to the top as the Audible banner would have cut it in half along the bottom.
The hardest part after uploading and submitting was waiting for the book to go through the review process. Weekends and the US Thanksgiving holiday delayed the process which was frustrating, but the delay meant the release of the audiobook would happen right when Audible was having a huge sale.
So, I am happy to announce that until December 8th, the audiobook version of Sister Lost can be purchased on Audible for 30% off. If you subscribe to Audible, you can use your December free credit to purchase it at no charge. Click on the purple hyperlink in the first sentence of this paragraph. It’s a great gift idea for audiobook lovers on your Christmas lists.
I do have a few US and a few UK promo codes for those who would like a free copy in exchange for posting a review on Audible. You can contact me from this website via the Contact page or leave your email in the comments below.
