An Official Announcement 

I am very aware that I have not posted since June. My life has undergone some major shifts as a result of a decision that I made back in March, that changed my living situation. I have no intention of going into more detail than that. I do not air my personal life on social media of any kind.

That being said, it has taken a toll on my writing this year. My goal was to have my second novel revised by the end of this month. That is not going to happen. My brain cannot focus for the lengthy periods of time necessary to complete that task. I was very discouraged and asked God what I should do in the interim.

His reply blindsided me. The gist of it was “you can’t move forward with your second book because you still have an audiobook to release for SISTER LOST.”

My initial reaction was, “No, I don’t want to do an ebook, Lord.”

Then I remembered a social media meme I had posted across my sites that asked how many books people had re-read multiple times. There were more than a few readers who told me that if they listen to an audiobook ten times, then they buy either the paperback or hardcover, depending on the formats released.

I honestly didn’t know this was happening. I am, admittedly, older and audiobooks are not my favourite format. I tend to fall asleep while listening with my earbuds or headset in place.

I had a choice… I could have said no, but I didn’t. I learned a long time ago not to wrestle with or debate anything with God… He always wins. So, I began researching audiobook production and learned all the different ways they can be recorded. Using my own voice was out since this chronic cough has left me with a raspy voice and an annoying tickle that triggers a very loud cough.

Using narrators who work for ACX and Audible wasn’t viable either. The quality I was looking for was lacking, so I decided to go the professional route. I have hired a very experienced, and highly respected voice over audio engineer and together we have casted the perfect narrator for this project.

So, as of right this minute, SISTER LOST is being recorded for audiobook. My plan is to release it in November of this year. For all my audiobook faithful listeners, please mark your calendar and have a listen. You won’t be sorry that you did.
